Twenty five members of the Mount Morris Central faculty and 12 members of the varsity girls’ soccer team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held on Sunday, October 4. The group raised $1,350 towards the fight against breast cancer. The Mount Morris Teachers’ Association and the Sports Booster Club provided the bus which transported the walkers to Frontier Field in Rochester. The nationally held walks range from 3-5 miles and have no fundraising minimum. Making Strides of Rochester had 8,000 participants and raised $775,000.
